ILLEGAL AND DEVIATED CONSTRUCTIONS STOPPED AT
GOLNAKA ALWAL AND MANJEERA COLONY
GAASA representations bearing nos. GAASA/Corr/106 and GAASA/Corr/108 both dated 11.10.2012
To,
Assistant City Planner

Sir,
Sub: Deviations from approved plan – no visible setbacks - immediate action – before beginning of construction - permissions taken on false representation of facts – representation – action requested as per time limits laid down under G.O Ms No. 901MA dated 31.12.2007 – stoppage of work – call for sanctioned plan - immediate action –Reg.
Ref: 1. File No. 36261/24/05/2012
2. Permit No. 13816/HO/NZ/Cir-16/2012 dated 08th August 2012, issued to Owner of 1-11-87, 88 & 88/A under Sy No. 166 of Golnaka Alwal
With reference to the subject matter, we submit that your head office had issued permission to construct a commercial complex under 2nd reference without undertaking due verification of facts supplied by the owner of the property under 2nd reference. We submit that as per the plan exhibited on the construction site, the setbacks have been shown to be 2.00 meters on the eastern side and 3.00 meters after 9.6 meters setback of road widening on the northern side of the site. In reality now the owner of the property under 2nd reference has dug up a cellar of over 15 feet depth and leaving less than 2.00 meters on the west and northern side. This has to be verified and case be recommended to your head office for revoking the permission. Further the cellar depth is presently at around 15 – 18 feet and we request your office to see that the permitted cellar depth is maintained after calling for sanction plan from the owner of the property.
Therefore GAASA as a responsible watchdog of Civil society, requests you to kindly take immediate action on the owner of the site under 2nd reference as he had given false information and already deviated from such falsely acquired permissions.
The response time for resolving this representation by your office as per GO Ms 910 MA of 31.12.2007 is within 15 days from date of receipt failing which we shall escalate this to higher authorities including Judiciary until the rules are implemented.

Sir,
Sub: Deviations from approved plan – immediate action – demolition of deviated portion – permissions taken on false representation of facts – representation of Manjeera Nagar RWA ignored – request action –Reg.
Ref: 1. Letter bearing no. MNRWA/GHMC/2012-13/Lr.no.001 dated 22.10.2011 addressed to Town Planning Officer, GHMC Alwal
2. Letter bearing no. MNRWA/GHMC/2012-13/Lr.no.05 dated 08.08.2012 addressed to Town Planning Officer, GHMC Alwal
3. Permission no. 8643/DC/NZ/Cir-16/2011-12 dated 08.02.2012 issued to Mr Jodharam Choudhary.
With reference to the above subject matter, GAASA deeply regrets the manner which your section is treating complaints being lodged against illegal constructions and deviations from sanctioned plan with contempt. GAASA strongly protests against such dereliction of duty and cautions your office that such negligence will not be left unattended and as done previously GAASA would approach the appropriate authority and seek action against your office.
In the instant case under subject matter, the Manjeera Nagar Colony RWA has been constantly complaining to your office of the deviations of sanctioned plan as mentioned under 3rd reference. The said RWA has represented twice to your office as under 1st and 2nd references alongwith layout plan and your office pretended ignorance.
GAASA wishes to remind your good self that as per G.O Ms No. 901MA dated 31.12.2007, complaints against such deviations and illegal constructions need to be demolished within 7 to 15 days. Whereas we are shocked that your office deemed it as a right to ignore the complaint under 1st reference for one whole year.
Therefore GAASA on receiving the copy of the representation from its member RWA i.e., Manjeera Nagar is forwarding their complaint again with a reminder that action within next 7 days shall be undertaken by your office without fail. Copy of the complaint under 2nd reference is enclosed.

Sir
Sub: Inappropriate and illegal cutting of trees – service connections – request to immediately stop – Alwal PS to Sri Balaji Temple road – Reg.
With reference to the above subject matter, we have noticed that your Department has suddenly taken a decision to cut down old trees on the Alwal PS road leading to Sri Balaji Temple at Temple Alwal.
On enquiry we have come to know that your office is releasing power connection to an apartment complex beside GHMC Office at Alwal and therefore to accommodate the said HT Lines, the trees are being cut down.
This said action is very draconian and illegal which is a penal offense under GHMC rules. Further on enquiry we have been informed that no permissions from GHMC has been obtained for such cutting of trees. For every one tree being cut, atleast ten more trees of 2 metres above needs to be planted. Therefore this may be implemented with tree guards.
Therefore we request you to take immediate action to stop the cutting of these trees and if possible accommodate the HT Connection by minimum pruning of the trees.
Look forward to an immediate action and help in keeping Alwal Green.

GAASA achieves footpaths for its residents
Residents of Alwal were denied footpaths all these years since formation of Alwal centuries ago. GAASA realised the importance of footpaths as few residents lost their lives since they were forced to walk on the sides of the main road. GAASA addressed this problem since December 2010 vide its representation bearing no. GAASA/Corr/75 dated 30.12.2010 to GHMC seeking footpaths for its residents. GAASA further followed it by representing to officials at all levels for getting the work done. Now we are glad GHMC has taken up the work starting from the road leading from Golnaka Alwal to Sri Balaji Temple on one side and upto Sri Shiva Temple. This is a great relief for pedestrains and GAASA acknowledges deep gratitude to GHMC Alwal officials for a good job.

Respected Sir,
With reference to the above subject matter, we are pleased to introduce our organization, the GREATER ALWAL ALLIED SERVICE ASSOCIATION (GAASA) to your good self. GAASA since 1987 has been actively involved in securing solutions for common problems being faced by residents of Alwal from appropriate Government organizations. GAASA is credited with having got remedies for several problems by utilizing the RTI Act 2005 and orders of the Hon’ble High Court of AP. This plea or representation to your good self is about the day-long loud broadcasting of music and songs spreading the word of forthcoming Telangana at Golnaka Alwal. We request your good self to intervene and request your good colleagues of TRS to kindly play the music and songs in a sufficient audible manner instead of loudness. Further the music and songs be limited to few hours such that it will not disturb the students of the surrounding areas who are preparing for their half yearly and annual exams. Further in reducing the loudness, the elder and senior citizens will not get affected.
This request comes to your good self in anticipation of your advice to your colleagues who regularly gather in the camp at Golnaka to promote the cause of Telangana.
Please help.

GAASA ACKNOWLEDGES THE HELP OF SRI RAJENDER, MLA AS NOW THE PUBLIC ADDRESS SYSTEM HAS ALTOGETHER BEEN REMOVED AND SENIOR CITIZENS AROUND THE AREA ARE ENJOYING THE CALM.
